For Children

Programs and services especially for children.

The Lynnville Public Library and the town of Lynnville realize that our children are the future; the future as our library patrons and our community.  The goal of our library is to provide service to our community and their children.

Here are services that we provide:

  • A Summer Reading Program each summer.
  • Six computers for homework use or recreational time. Per our Library Policy, children must be at least 8 years old to be on the internet.  We have two computers that are not connected to the internet for children younger than 8, however, they must have an adult assisting them as they use the computer.
  • The Unattended Children Policy - Children, ages 8 and up may use the library unattended, subject to the rules and regulations concerning behavior.  Children may be left alone at the library, only with parental permission and only if staff is aware how to reach parent or day-care provider in case of emergency.  The library can not act as a babysitter and will assume no responsibility for children left unattended on library premises.
  • Homework Help
  • Ebscohost (username and password to access Ebscohost is available at the library)
  • Accelerated Reader List
  • Links for children (found under the Do Research section)
